<em>Premier industry program for retailers brings two more retired ATF experts on board</em></p>
<p align="left">NEWTOWN, Conn. &#8212; The marked success of the National Shooting Sports Foundation&#8217;s FFL Compliance Consulting Program, in which NSSF provides financial assistance to allow one of its team of retired Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) experts to make a personal visit and consultation to member retailers, has significantly increased demand for this service. Consequently, NSSF has announced the addition of two highly qualified, retired ATF inspectors, Jean Zabel and Gene Baker, to its consulting team to lend their expertise to the industry&#8217;s premier firearms retailer inspection program.</p>
<p align="left">Through the NSSF FFL Compliance Consulting Program, member retailers requiring assistance contact NSSF, which coordinates requests with <a href="http://www.nssf.org/retailers/consultants/team.cfm">former ATF compliance officials participating in the program</a>. A compliance advisor will then personally visit the retailer to assess its level of ATF compliance, conduct a review of internal controls over firearms and record keeping and train the retailer and staff to help the business to be prepared for an ATF compliance inspection and pass it with flying colors. The price of this service for members is only $499. NSSF, as the trade association for the firearms, ammunition, hunting and shooting sports industry, also will pick up other fees of compliance advisors, including all travel expenses.</p>

<p align="left">With &#8220;SAFE&#8221; serving as an acronym for <strong>S</strong>ecure your firearms when not in use; Be <strong>A</strong>ware of those around you who should not have unauthorized access to guns; <strong>F</strong>ocus on your responsibility as a firearm owner and <strong>E</strong>ducate yourself and others about safe firearm handling and storage, &#8220;S.A.F.E. Summer&#8221; is focused on equipping gun owners take responsible action to keep their families and communities safer, particularly while children are home from school and more likely to be unattended.</p>
<p align="left">NSSF launched Project ChildSafe in 1998 (prior to 2003 the program was called Project HomeSafe) as a nationwide initiative to promote firearms responsibility and provide safety education to all gun owners. While children are a focus, Project ChildSafe is intended to help young people and adults practice greater firearm safety in the home. The program has provided more than 36 million free firearm safety kits to gun owners in all 50 states and five U.S. territories. That&#8217;s in addition to the more than 70 million free locking devices manufacturers have included with new firearms sold since 1998 and continue to do today.</p>
<p align="left">Project ChildSafe was originally supported by federal grants provided by the U.S. Department of Justice. Since 2008, when this funding was cut, the firearms manufacturing industry has solely funded the Project ChildSafe program through the members of NSSF.</p>

<p align="left">NEWTOWN, Conn. &#8212; The National Shooting Sports Foundation<sup>®</sup> (NSSF<sup>®</sup>), the trade association for the firearms and ammunition industry, has announced the hiring of Dave Jeannette as senior director, sales, and Chris Tatulli as director, exhibit and sponsorship sales.</p>
<p align="left">The additions of Jeannette and Tatulli will bolster NSSF&#8217;s internal SHOT Show<sup>®</sup> and events staff. In their new roles, both will support the SHOT Show and other NSSF events, including the Shooting Sports Summit, Import/ Export Conference, national and regional firearms retailer and shooting range conferences and NSSF&#8217;s Congressional Fly-In.</p>
<p align="left">&#8220;During this transition, it is important to maintain continuity for our customers so that their SHOT Show experience continues to meet their expectations,&#8221; said Chris Dolnack, NSSF senior vice president and chief marketing officer. &#8220;Dave and Chris have provided outstanding customer service and marketing opportunities for SHOT Show exhibitors for a combined 35 years and we&#8217;re excited to welcome them to the NSSF team.&#8221;</p>
<p align="left">Jeannette has worked on the SHOT Show for more than 20 years, having overseen the show&#8217;s growth from 377,000 net square feet of exhibit space to today&#8217;s more than 628,000 net square feet. Most recently, he served as the SHOT Show&#8217;s event director and had previously served as SHOT Show sales executive and sales manager.</p>
<p align="left">Tatulli brings to NSSF nearly 15 years of experience in the trade show business, most recently working on the SHOT Show. He has developed strong relationships with the show&#8217;s exhibiting companies since beginning work on the show two years ago.</p>
